Termidor® Termite Control

Termidor® is the one of the world's most effective termite control methods, controlling termites in three months or less. If you have a termite problem, here's why you should consider a Termidor termite control treatment:

Effectiveness & Speed

Termidor has consistently shown exceptional results in more than 700,000 homes treated throughout the United States since its launch in March 2000.

In over eight years of field trials with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Termidor has controlled subterranean termites in all tests, in all geographic locations. No other product can make this claim. And Termidor is effective in any soil type or climate in the United States.

How the "Transfer EffectTM" Works

Once a termite has ingested or contacted Termidor-treated material with its body, it becomes a "carrier." Every termite it contacts will be infected and will in turn infect every termite it contacts. But Termidor works slowly, letting termites contact many others before dying themselves.

Although the Termidor effect on individual termites is intentionally slow, the overall colony management is fast: up to 6 times faster than bait systems.

About Termidor

Termidor is applied using traditional, time-tested techniques that pest management professionals are very knowledgeable and familiar with.

Termidor is nonrepellent so a termite can't smell, see, or feel it as it forages freely in the treated area.

Termidor allows the termites to continue their routine, remaining active long enough to transfer Termidor through mere contact with each other before dying.

The transfer of Termidor continues to secondary and tertiary termites (and their colonies) that have even been in contact with Termidor-treated soil.

Success: The termite population has been controlled in three months or less with Termidor.

Responsible Effectiveness

Termidor is one of the most thoroughly reviewed and tested termite control products in history. It is registered with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and was the first termite insecticide to meet the high standards of the Food Quality Protection Act.

Termidor's active ingredient, fipronil, has been used since 1993 to control fleas and ticks on household pets. Arrow will typically use .06 percent of fipronil, which is a significantly lower amount than many other termite control products. In fact, there are only 8.4 ounces of active ingredient used in 100 gallons of water to treat the average home with Termidor.

Termidor binds tightly to the soil in which it is applied, so there is little need to worry about leaching through rainfall or irrigation. It remains fixed in the ground where it was applied.

Residuals/Follow-ups

Any responsible termite treatment demands periodic follow-up inspections by Arrow. After a Termidor treatment, we will need to make periodic inspections to check for modifications, additions or alterations to home and landscaping that could cause a soil disruption after the original application.
