Arrow Exterminators Accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Arrow Joins the Fight to Beat ALS with Donation to ALS Association

Arrow Exterminators recently convened in beautiful Cancun, Mexico for their annual Fiscal Year Manager Meeting and Premier Club where they kicked off the company’s 50th Anniversary celebration. As part of the celebration Arrow accepted the ALS ice bucket challenge. A team of 330 Arrow team members doused themselves with buckets of ice water in an effort to raise awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. Additionally, Arrow Exterminators made a $5000 donation to support the fight to treat and cure the disease.

“An integral part of Arrow Exterminator’s business philosophy for the past five decades has been supporting others through the commitment of our time and resources so in honor of our 50th anniversary and the 1300 ladies and gentlemen at Arrow we were proud to accept the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and make a donation to the ALS Association,” said Emily Thomas Kendrick, President and CEO. “It is truly inspiring to see so many people come together in nationwide advocacy to find a cure for this rare and devastating disease. Our gift to the ALS Association reflects our passion to give back to worthwhile organizations that impact the lives of those in our community and I can’t think of a better way to kick off our 50th anniversary.”

Kendrick went on to say, “We had a lot of fun and actually challenged Orkin, who has accepted the challenge!”

The ALS Ice bucket challenge is a viral fund-raising campaign where participants pour ice water over their heads and then nominate others to do the same within 24 hours or donate $100 to the ALS charity of their choice, or do both.
