Arrow Exterminators Participates in the 2017 March of Dimes March for Babies

Team Arrow walks to support healthy, stronger babies.

For over a decade, Atlanta–based Arrow Exterminators has been supporting the March of Dimes through time, donations, and creative fundraising efforts.  This year’s campaign raised a record-breaking $44,000 through individual contributions, a silent auction, and other fundraising activities.  The campaign culminated with the 2017 March for Babies event, a 5.3 mile walk through Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, GA.  Over 200 of Arrow’s team members, family members, and friends walked together to support the March of Dimes healthy futures for babies by participating in this worthwhile event.

The March of Dimes is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. In local communities across the country, the March of Dimes is helping moms take charge of their health, and supporting families when something goes wrong. The March of Dimes also acts globally; sharing best practices in perinatal health and helping improve birth outcomes where the needs are the most urgent.

Individual service centers and corporate teams kept the momentum going with friendly competition throughout the six-week period. There were companywide fundraisers such as BBQs for Babies, a family Bingo night, car washes and several managers even hosted a “Pie Your Boss” contest to raise money. “Raising money for an organization like the March of Dimes is what our core value ‘community’ is all about,” said Emily Thomas Kendrick, Chief Executive Officer and President of Arrow Exterminators. “The March of Dimes impacts the lives of so many families and I could not be prouder of our team members for raising over $44,000 that will support the March of Dimes and their invaluable research and dedication to preventing premature birth.”
